Your contribution to our project will allow us to purchase special equipment needed to make our salon wheelchair friendly and to add salon services like manicures and pedicures. We count on the generous support of individual donors, government grants, businesses and faith communities. Every gift makes a difference in our effort to enhance mental health and improve the quality of life for the seniors living in our community.
Why we need your help...
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. We hope that by showing you what we presently have for a salon, you will gain an understanding of our need.
The salon is located in the basement and we want to move it up to the main floor. This will provide easier and safer access for everyone. The new location needs extensive renovations and installation of vents and plumbing. Further, an adjustable hair washing sink will be installed so that transferring in and out of a wheelchair will not be necessary. This ensures a much more comfortable experience and lessens the risk of injury for both residents and service providers.
